Investigating failed payments

Understanding payment failures: Declines and blocked payments. Learn how Easytools handles failed transactions and implements preventive measures to protect your business.

Payment failures occur for various reasons, often to prevent fraudulent transactions. The two main categories are:

1. Declines:   - Issuer bank rejections   - Blocked payments   - Invalid API calls

Declined payments usually come with a code from the issuer bank.

2. Blocked Payments:   - Preventative measures against potential fraud   - Detected by Stripe Radar or custom Radar rules

Blocked payments help avoid disputes.

Please remember, that Easycart has some mechanisms to fixed failed payments including: support in the checkout after few fails, notifications preventing expired credit cards or automatic retries after subscription fails to renew.
